How to Reconstitute Freeze-Dried Breast Milk

Turning your powder back into milk takes just a minute. Save this guide for later.

How to reconstitute freeze-dried breast milk: 1. Add the desired amount of hot water to a clean bottle. 2. Measure and add the powdered breast milk using the ratio written on the packet. 3. Swirl to mix thoroughly; avoid shaking vigorously. Milk fats may separate and cause flecks, so let the powder sit in the warm water longer before mixing. Use prepared milk within 1 to 2 hours at room temperature or 24 hours in the fridge. Do not refreeze. Reseal opened powder packages tightly and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 to 4 weeks.

I'm not in Utah. Can I mail my milk to you?

Yes! Some moms have mailed their frozen milk to me. Shipping frozen milk takes a little planning to keep it frozen the whole way, so please message me for details before you send anything.

How much does breast milk freeze-drying cost?

Pricing is per ounce with a bulk discount, starting at $1.00 per ounce for up to 150 oz and going down to $0.65 per ounce for 2,000–4,000 oz. See the full pricing table, or message me and I'll get you a quote for the amount you have.
